That tat on the right? Probably my favorite intersection of literature and anatomy EVER. Gotta respect the Vonnegut “asterisk.” Definitely gotta respect the person who gets it in ink.

Got my first tattoos today! The semicolon needs to be touched up after it heals, because the top part is a little too small, but YAY! I love them, and the Vonnegut asterisk turned out perfect. I’m not going to write a dissertation on what they mean because lol no one cares except me, but I will give you quotes!
“Here is a lesson in creative writing. First rule: Do not use semicolons. They are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. All they do is show you’ve been to college.”“…and there, I’ve just used a semicolon, which at the outset I told you never to use. It is to make a point that I did it. The point is this: Rules only take us so far, even good rules.”- Kurt Vonnegut

Things going on:

1) Bag is packed - ready to leave for Boston around 4 to see @msstefapie, @lars_fillmore, @sexualelf and @joshlikegermany. Bringing some Canadian Club and ginger ale - gonna celebrate a slightly tardy St. Patrick’s day with some good people.

2) Took my third Calc 2 test at noon; picked up the answer key at 2. Looks like my answers are right, though I think for one of them I didn’t do it the way she wanted it done. It’s only worth five points, and she seems pretty liberal with partial credit, so that shouldn’t be too bad. If I keep my test average over 90, I get to skip the final. I’m really hoping I can pull that off.

3) Boy, the Big East doesn’t look very impressive so far. Notre Dame (who was, admittedly, overseeded) couldn’t shoot worth a damn and lost to Old Dominion, and Villanova needed overtime to bear Robert Morris. ROBERT MORRIS. I don’t think this says anything about ‘Cuse taking care of Vermont, but Marquette and Louisville should be nervous. Maybe finishing fifth and sixth (respectively) in the Big East isn’t as impressive as we thought it was.

4) SPRING BREAK NEXT WEEK WOOOOOO. Unfortunately, I’ll be using most of that time to catch up on reading for Western Civ (I’ve done only a little lately), reading for psych (I’ve done next to none, and there’s a test on the 31st) and research for my English Comp paper (I’ve done practically none). Still, there should be plenty of time to watch the Big Dance and to rewatch season two of Breaking Bad before I see the first episode of season three.
